Dear companies. Stop it.
This has been one of the most tricky parts of YouTube to deal with so far. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more than willing to collaborate with people/companies sometimes or work on fun projects. But it happens way too often that people try to take advantage of your knowledge or audience and it can be quite difficult to just ‘be rude’ and say no. Where do you draw the line? You can’t just spend all your time providing information for other people (who offer nothing in return) or working for free. I guess the same thing happens IRL with unpaid internships. Sometimes it just gets frustrating and we need to blow off some steam. See: this Twitter conversation with the lovely @meganisobel.

My sister keeps asking me if I want to go see The Great Cosby with her and I don’t have it in my heart to correct her.
